Travel and Transport
Our pupils travel to Landon School from a wide area, and most journeys are arranged and funded by each child's home local authority.
Local authority transport
If your child has an EHCP naming Landon School, they may be eligible for home-to-school transport arranged by your local authority. Applications are made directly to your local authority's SEN transport team – not through the school – and we recommend applying as early as possible, as arrangements can take time to put in place. Your local authority's Local Offer website will explain how to apply.
Arrival and departure
Transport vehicles and parents dropping off are met by staff at the start and end of each day, and pupils are handed over directly – a familiar routine that keeps arrivals and departures calm and safe. The school day runs from 8:45am to 2:45pm; please aim to arrive promptly.
If your child's usual transport arrangements change, or if someone different will be collecting your child, please inform the school office in advance on 020 8153 0201 or office@landonschool.co.uk.
Travel training
As pupils move into our Secondary and Post-16 phases, independent travel training is offered where appropriate as part of our Preparing for Adulthood programme – building the skills and confidence that open up education, work and community life.
If you have any questions about travel or transport, please contact the school office.
