Imagination in action 🌟

Dressing up isn’t just play — it’s a powerful way to build imagination, communication, and social understanding. Through role play, our pupils explore the world around them in a safe and joyful way.

Learning through play, every single day.

Creative minds at work 🎨

Our pupils have been exploring collage inspired by Henri Matisse, developing hand-eye coordination while expressing themselves through colour and shape. Art gives our learners a voice beyond words and supports focus, creativity, and confidence.

Every piece is unique — just like them.

Building strong foundations ✍️

Handwriting is more than putting pencil to paper — it supports fine motor development, coordination, and independence. Our pupils are developing the small muscle control needed for everyday tasks, one mark at a time.

We celebrate every effort, every grip, and every letter formed 💙

Last week in Maple Class, the children enjoyed working together to create their very own Teddy Bears’ Picnic 🧺🐻

They used healthy ingredients to prepare and set everything up, building on their independence and teamwork skills.

The children also challenged themselves with new numeracy activities, exploring number bonds, size matching, and pattern making in a fun and practical way 🌿

A lovely mix of learning, creativity, and collaboration!

This June, our school community is taking part in the National Autistic Society's 60 Miles in June challenge.

Rather than being completed by one person alone, this will be a shared effort involving our pupils and staff.

Throughout the month, we will be recording the miles we walk together, with every step contributing towards our 60-mile target.

For many of our autistic pupils, walking a distance, exploring their environment, building physical confidence, regulating emotions, or simply participating in a shared challenge can be a significant achievement.

This fundraiser gives us an opportunity to celebrate those achievements while raising awareness and supporting a cause that is close to all of our hearts.

The National Autistic Society works tirelessly to support autistic people and their families through advocacy, education, support services and campaigning for greater understanding and inclusion.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help them continue this vital work.

Throughout June, we will be sharing updates on our progress and celebrating the contributions of our amazing pupils and staff as we work together towards our 60-mile goal.

Thank you for supporting our school community and helping us make a difference for autistic people across the UK.
