ππ World Book Day in Fern Class!
Our story for the day was The Hungry Caterpillar. The children had a wonderful time feeding the caterpillar, decorating their book coupons, and using coloured counters to create patterns on the caterpillar.
It was a lovely way to celebrate World Book Day while exploring colours, counting, and patterns through a much-loved story. Well done, Fern Class! ππ

This week, as we get ready to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday, each class has been diving into a special story of their own.
Our amazing children in Sycamore Class have been exploring The Enormous Turnip π±π
Through sensory-rich, hands-on learning, they have:
π Played with character masks to bring the story to life
π€ Worked together to βpullβ the enormous turnip from the ground β practising teamwork and communication
π Shared the story together, building confidence and a love of reading
πΏ Explored a real turnip using their senses β smelling it, feeling its texture and truly experiencing it in a meaningful, hands-on way
It has been wonderful to see their curiosity, cooperation and joy as they immerse themselves in the story. Learning through play, exploration and teamwork makes these moments so special π«
And weβre sure you can tell from the photos that the staff team enjoyed themselves just as much too! π
